Der in englischer Sprache abgehaltene Kurs führt in den internationalen Rechtsverkehr ein (u. a. Internationales Privatrecht, UN-Kaufrecht, Internationale Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit, Incoterms) und vermittelt über die englische Rechtsterminologie Grundprinzipien anglo-amerikanischer Vertragsgestaltung sowie der zugrunde liegenden Rechtsstrukturen.

Negotiating and Drafting Contracts in English

Globalization has become one of the major challenges in legal consulting. The continuing growth of cross border transactions require understanding of legal concepts and contractual policies beyond the national scope. An adequate command of English and its legal terminology is indispensable.

The syllabus covers principles of Private International Law (jurisdiction, choice of law, recognition of foreign judgements). Along with actual drafts documents and negotiation scenarios further topics such as the CISG, Incoterms, documentary credits and International Arbitration are discussed.
